Greater Phoenix Leadership Hires Director of Member Engagement & Communications

Lauren Patheal to head GPL’s Membership Engagement and Communications efforts

PHOENIX, AZ, July 2, 2019 – On Monday, July 1, 2019, Greater Phoenix Leadership (GPL) announced the onboarding of Lauren Patheal, who will serve as the organization’s Director of Member Engagement & Communications. In this role, Patheal’s key responsibilities will include working collaboratively with GPL’s membership and leadership to ensure the successful execution of the organization’s policy priorities and efforts, as well as managing GPL’s internal and external strategic communications and outreach.

Patheal brings to GPL extensive experience in public and government affairs at the local, state and federal levels, event planning, fundraising, community outreach, policy research and professional and creative communications.

Most recently, Patheal served as an Administrator of Public Affairs at Southwest Gas Corporation where she focused on local, state and legislative processes and policy issues. She previously served as the Chief of Staff to Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord and also staffed the Goodyear City Council. Prior to her work in Goodyear, she served as a Public Affairs Advisor with Triadvocates Public Affairs and as a Government Relations Associate with the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Patheal is a graduate of Arizona State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in literature.
